St. Bernard has said: “Man, if thou desirest a noble and holy life, and unceasingly prayest to God for it, if thou continue constant in this thy desire, it will be granted unto thee without fail, even if only in the day or hour of thy death; and if God should not give it to thee then, thou shalt find it in Him in eternity: of this be assured.” Therefore do not relinquish your desire, though it be not fulfilled immediately, or though ye may swerve from your aspirations, or even forget them for a time…. The love and aspiration which once really existed live forever before God, and in Him ye shall find the fruit thereof; that is, to all eternity it shall be better for you than if you had never felt them.

What great advice! If thou desirest a noble and holy life, and unceasingly prayest to God for it! I love St. Bernard! He wrote a lot about Mary, the Holy Mother too that I really like. Our church in NY that we go to is called St. Bernard's and that has a cemetery where I will be buried some day too, where all my family is buried for over a hundred years. We have to continue in our constant desire to pray and God will listen, but also, make sure you say if it is the will of God, because that is what is most important. God knows what we need and what is best for us. He will answer and bring you where you need to be. Just ask Him to lead you, guide you, instruct you, bring you where you need to be and always accept the will of God with everything in your life! That is what really matters! We serve a great God! I am giving Hi praise every single day! Don't stop praying!
