New year, new beginning: Everything should begin with God. His should be the first voice we hear each morning, calling us to wake up and begin the day’s journey. We should also begin each year with God. In our dates, we write A.D., Anno Domini, the year of our Lord. If these are truly years of our Lord, we should live them as such!

It is a new year, and a new beginning so to speak! I agree that starting the year with God gives us a spiritual push that can make the whole year more meaningful! We need God in our lives! We need to follow Jesus if we want a better world, He is the way, the truth, and the life. We were given Jesus by God, Emmanuel, God with us, we are called to follow, reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him, when we do with great faith, we are promised life eternal in Heaven with Him! What a blessing! Live for Him!

It’s not enough to write Christ’s name on the calendar; we should make sure He is in all we do throughout the year—our work, our leisure, our friendships, and everything else. God's vision for all of us was to recognize Jesus as the Messiah, the light of the world. God wants us to follow His model/example, to live like He did to the best of our abilities. Today we see a lot of hate, negativity, rejection of God, violence, greed, corruption, and plain evil. So many are slaves for Satan today, living for things of this world, not our life eternal in Heaven with Jesus. We need to change course. We need to take advantage of new beginnings and follow Jesus, make Him a part of our lives this year, to follow Him, to imitate and love like Him! We are now in 2026 AD in the year of the Lord, we need to live as such with Christ in us reflecting His love for all!
