Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners!
Jesus went out along the sea.
All the crowd came to him and he taught them.
As he passed by, he saw Levi, son of Alphaeus,
sitting at the customs post.
Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”
And he got up and followed Jesus.
While he was at table in his house,
many tax collectors and sinners sat with Jesus and his disciples;
for there were many who followed him.
Some scribes who were Pharisees saw that Jesus was eating with sinners
and tax collectors and said to his disciples,
“Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
Jesus heard this and said to them,
“Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.
I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”
~Mark 2:13-17
Jesus came to help sinners! Look at what He did here in this Bible verse in Mark, He eats with tax collectors and sinners. He calls them to turn from sin and follow Him! The Pharisees do not like that He associates with sinners, but Jesus clarifies and says, good healthy people who are not sick, do not need a doctor, He came to help those who are sick, the sinners, the weak, the evil, the wicked, the people who are not righteous. As we know the righteous, elite, elected, powers that be, governments, priests, and Pharisees usually have a greater beam in their eyes, they like to act like they are so much better than any sinner, like gay people, prostitutes, thieves, the violent, people who hate, and do so much evil and wicked, but most are even worse than sinners. Many in governments, elected, elitists, powers that be, priests, and the so called pillars of society are some of the worst sinners, they are greedy, corrupt, and commit fraud, just do so much evil. We have seen this from many elected and leaders around the world, some will take millions from China to enrich themselves and family selling their souls and countries out for all the money in China. Some are narco leaders, making millions on pushing drugs into other countries, while others fall into this new world order movement of woke globalism taking away more freedoms and rights of God's peoples as if they work for the anti-Christ. Who are the real sinners? Who really needs the help of Jesus? Likely the ones who reject Him, forbid anyone talking about Him, or reading the Bible, or standing up for God. Some of these so called pillars of society are the worst, and they never want you to talk about God, Jesus, the Bible, or religion, they try to remove it from schools, government, and society too. Jesus can help all of us. Some of us need more help than others. No one is perfect, we are all sinners. We all have our cross to bear in life. We all do have a choice though, we can follow Jesus or we can be slaves for Satan and things of this world. But just remember the Pharisees are no better, remember they are the ones who schemed to have Jesus murdered, so really they looked down at Jesus, but then had Him killed. There is a lot of contradiction and hypocrisy today out there. The hate is so prevalent and sad to see. Jesus wants all of us to follow Him! We are called to follow, reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! God gave Jesus to us as our example, He is Emmanuel, God with us, our model, we are supposed to imitate and love like Him! We need to turn from sin, repent, and have great faith following Jesus and working toward that goal of life eternal in Heaven with Jesus when we follow Him!
