Something we all need to always remember: The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing!

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

—Zephaniah 3:17

These Bible verses are something we all need to always remember, all of us! All people! God is not partial to any of us. Yes, although we are sinners, all of us, Jesus died for our sins! He wants all of us to turn from sin and follow Jesus! We are called to follow, reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! Today Christians are not always welcoming of all its people, especially the gay population who was raised Christian to love Jesus. Catholics are some of the worst. The church and people reject gays as much as the Jews did Jesus. It is said to see. When a gay couple goes to church, the priests ignore, avoid, dismiss, and reject many gay couples. The parishioners do too, most are not at all welcoming to gay people. Although their church says, " all are welcome." Thankfully, God and Jesus do not reject anyone, gays included. Our Father loves everyone! All people, even gay people. We need to remember that and these two Bible verses hit home about it all too, we all are loved by God and Jesus welcomes all of us to follow Him! To love like Him! It is ironic that unfortunately, gays are rejected today like Jesus was 2000 years ago by the Jews, gays are rejected, persecuted, judged, hated, ignored, avoided, to many people gay people at church are an inconvenience to the priests and parishioners. We have seen it first hand at our churches in Lake Worth, Palm Springs, Vero Beach, and here in Sebastian. The priests and parishioners do not feel comfortable having a gay couple go to church here weekly, it is an inconvenience for them.  They just ignore you, won't look at you, and even when someone introduces you to them, they will still ignore you and pretend like they never met you. I personally have noticed that going to some other church thrift stores locally, the people at the Methodist churches are more welcoming, loving, and  I know their names visit with them, and are friends with them, more so than at my own church. We had one good friend Jane who was so loving and kind, always welcoming and cared, she passed recently, she was the only one along with the old priest, Rev. John who passed recently too, that are loving and kind, most people do not want to be bothered with people if they think you are gay and shy away, stay away, look away, and just completely ignore you. We have seen and experienced all the rejection as a gay couple who go to a Catholic church (several of them) over the years, they are all the same. Honestly, the Catholic church needs to do a better job not being indifferent toward gay people or the marginalized, to truly love all people, showing love and kindness to all!  Jesus knows all of this! He loves all people, all! It is clear in these Bible verses that all people, even gays can be saved and can get into Heaven. We can turn from sin, stop the hate, love Jesus, and follow and imitate Him the best we can, with great faith, can have life eternal in Heaven with Him where He will be rejoicing over you with singing!
