Do good and love: Love like Jesus anyway, even when people hate, cancel, ignore, dismiss, avoid, and maltreat you!

Love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

— 1 John 4:7

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel (or "complaint") against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

— Colossians 3:13

Oh, might we all our lineage prove,
Give and forgive, do good and love;
By soft endearments, in kind strife,
Lightening the load of daily life.

—J. Keble

We may, if we choose, make the worst of one another. Every one has his weak points; every one has his faults: we may make the worst of these; we may fix our attention constantly upon these. But we may also make the best of one another. We may forgive, even as we hope to be forgiven. We may put ourselves in the place of others, and ask what we should wish to be done to us, and thought of us, were we in their place. By loving whatever is lovable in those around us, love will flow back from them to us, and life will become a pleasure instead of a pain; and earth will become like heaven; and we shall become not unworthy followers of Him whose name is Love.

—A. P. Stanley

Love like Jesus anyway, even when people hate, cancel, ignore, dismiss, avoid, and maltreat you! Forgive them who mistreat and hate you. Today we see a lot of people who just are not all there. Whether it is due to the COVID vaccine injuries, TDS, are Godless, and just hate and insecurities or some other issues. A lot of people today just do not know why they do things, or just do things out of hate and cancel culture. You need to forgive them like the Bible says, in Luke 23:24 it says, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing." Sometimes I think they do know what they are doing, but we need to forgive them anyway just the same. I have had siblings ignore me or not get back to me. It hurts when it is family for sure, it doesn't happen a lot, but some, but you need to forgive them. I worked for almost thirty years as a university professor. I was always loving and kind to all, I loved my students, I always tried to help others and write and help get them published, I always tried to be loving and imitate Jesus the best I can, I still do, when I retired, a little before, and after, I saw a lot of hate, TDS, DEI, CRT, and woke ideology. I never cared for it or took part in any hate clubs or the groupthink, and because of this, I was hated, cancelled, ignored, and dismissed for sure. Even when I retired, it was a cold shoulder from so many at work, even after being so kind to all, helping them, talking and listening, being friend for so many years, a few people still do stay in touch and have been kind. I have written to so many, tried to stay in touch, but most ignore me, never write back, email, call, or bother at all. Just completely ignore me and my kindness in staying in touch. What can you do? I know a few friends and acquaintances too that did this too to me, mistreated me, ignored me, did not like being Catholic or being supportive of our current president, some I know it was obvious that they had TDS and wanted me to be part of their hate clubs, but I just won't be part of a hate club, I just do not engage in conversations of hate and negativity. We need to just forgive them and pray for them! Be like Jesus! Love them anyway. It is hard, but we are born to be this way! Be like Jesus! I know I would never do what some have done to me, if they wrote me, or called, or sent something, I would write them or call them back. I would never just ignore them or cancel them. But today, more than ever many people do this. It is sad to see, they need our prayers, it is a good lesson to learn about where we are with humanity today. They need our prayers and forgiveness. These Bible verses and quotes resonated with me today in relation to this topic. Sometimes you learn what not to do, I would never hate, cancel, or ignore someone's email, call, text, letter/card or kindness! It is all about love and kindness, being like Jesus, even when someone mistreats you, like St. Mother Teresa said, treat them like Jesus anyway! Do good and love!
