Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain!

Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

~Titus 1:7-9

St. Paul knew about the love of Jesus, He was pursued by Jesus, he knew what God was looking for! God wanted Him! He even changed His ways, became holy and pursued Jesus, writing a lot of the New Testament, writing a lot about the love of Jesus and how God wants us to live! The Bible verse above is clear, God wants a holy and upright overseer, someone blameless. Unfortunately, today we do not have many in government, elected, or the powers that be that are holy and blameless. Many are greedy, corrupt, selfish, and self-serving, they only seek power, money, and fame, they commit fraud, cheat, steal, lie, and make mediocrity the norm. It is sad to see. Our world and the powers that be need our prayers. We see so many become slaves for Satan, selling out their souls, and even their countries for all the money in Asia or Africa for that matter. So many today are the worst examples of God or Jesus for the public at large. It is sad to see. Even some clergy today and priests and people of God, have done the same, some say some churches are corrupted and many have had many sexual assault/abuse cases, theft of parishes, mistreatment by priest to parishioners, and overall abuse and poor treatment, even people who are supposed to represent Jesus fail us today in our society. Where are all the upright and holy people? Who can God trust to oversee and manage His household? So many today are alcoholics, drunks, druggies, obsessed with things of this world like tattoos, iPhone, and social media. So many live for this world and become slaves for Satan, instead for Jesus, we need to uphold to sound doctrine, follow Jesus, imitate and reflect Him, be upright and holy, we are called, are you blameless? Do you have self-control?  Can you work toward being a better person, can you work on yourself to be upright and holy for God to oversee and manage His household if called to do so? We need to manifest the grace of God!
